May 5th 2021 Announcement
Scooby Soccer participated in a virtual meeting last week with city of Burlington staff as we prepare for the upcoming soccer season.  We still do not know which colour zone we will land in after the emergency order is lifted (hopefully May 20th), but that will determine how we proceed with our season.  Because of the limitations to the number of players permitted to be on a field at one time, we may have to make some changes to scheduling.  The city has advised us that fields will be ready within 2 days of getting the green light from the province to start re-opening.  We are working on a number of things right now such as permits, insurance and assembling our teams.  Whether we can only do “practice/skills” to start or whether we can move into scrimmaging immediately, the children will be placed onto teams with a coach.  Many teams still require coaches so please let us know (if you haven’t already) if you can coach your child’s team.  Practice plans will be provided to you and a technical coach will be at the field to give guidance.
We have not met with the city of Hamilton for our Waterdown programs but we have done the required work to get permits in order and expect to hear from them soon.
We will not ask for payment or insurance waivers yet until we can come to you with our plan and schedules.  Again, thank you for your patience.  We appreciate your support.

ABOUT SCOOBY SOCCER

SCOOBY SOCCER Soccer The Way It Should Be Played!!! Scooby Soccer (Soccer Club Organization of Burlington Youth) is committed to providing an opportunity for all youth to play organized soccer and assist them in reaching their potential. Our volunteer parent coaches work with our professional staff who has several years of experience in grassroots programs as well as in the professional community. We have a great technical staff who are available at the sessions for guidance and support. Our philosophy is for our players to play in small-sided games to allow as many touches as possible. This will build skill in our players, but more importantly confidence. With confidence comes a love of the game. For more info call 905-317-2370. REGISTER NOW FOR SUMMER SOCCER 2021

Register now for our summer soccer session.  See our registration page/programs for the various programs and parks we will be using this season.  Fee is $175.00 (in our efforts to make soccer affordable for all, we did not increase our fees).  Included is shirt, shorts, socks, soccer ball, team photo and year end medal.  All dates and times are subject to change.  We will not be accepting payment until mid-April when we should have firm dates for our field allocations.

Our U3 program (children born in 2018) is a 6 week introductory program.  The fee is $50.00 and includes shirt, shorts, socks, medal, team photo and year end medal.  Each week features a different theme which will include shooting, passing and dribbling.  The children will play games incorporating the soccer ball (follow the leader, what time is it Mr. Wolf etc).  We ask parents to participate for the skill portion of the session to help with instruction.  Skills are the focus for the first 20-25 minutes and we follow up with a 20 minute scrimmage with another team and put our newly learned skills to good use.  Children play 3V3, no goalie.  With the small sided game the children should get lots of touches on the ball.

U4-U15 (born 2017-2006) – Fee is $175 for the 12 week program.  Fee includes shirt, shorts, socks, soccer ball and team photo.  Each session includes ½ practice session where we work on proper technique and skills.  The children will then play a game against another team.  U4-U8 is a 30 minute game.  U9+ will play a longer game depending on age and games will be refereed.
